The "Visit Homepage" option in Synaptic is not working - fanisatt - 26th September 2016

If the Firefox browser is not opened then , every time I choose the "Visit Homepage" option in the Synaptic I got this error alert : Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded etc.. I got it three times continously and after this I got another one alert (konqueror - kdialog)  , it says that this file "/root/.kde/share/config/konquerorrc" is not writable. If firefox is open then, sometimes the "visit home page" working normally but not always.
Thanks

Synaptic is root and therefore I guess processes started from it are also tried to be opened as root - which in csse of firefox and root is probably a very bad idea.
Since its also a non-kde root app, I guess we wont spend time on solving this under plasma.
I wonder if any other Plasma distro has this working, like if you install synaptic and try it on kde neon for example.
The idea for M2 is though to give Muon Package Manager another chance, since it is picked up and developed again.

FYI, i have KDE Neon Plasma 5.8.2 in a VB VM, & i had already installed Synaptic therein several weeks ago. Just now i launched my VM, launched Synaptic, picked a random application in it & clicked its "Visit Homepage" link. That same error msg as originally reported, popped up. Once i dismissed it [3x needed, it kept repeating], i then opened Firefox & tried the link again. This time it worked ok.
