desktop clock two hours ahead despite proper locale - benit - 29th March 2017

I am in Germany and some time ago my time started to jump two hours ahead (settings: automatic adjustment). How can I fix that? It is very annoying and produces false email time stamps as well as false file metadata.

Thank you very much in advance for helping!

Either go to systemsettings or right click on the clock and go into its settings. See if you can set it to Berlin timezone manually and it should have the correct time then.

Hmm... mine is 7 minutes behind. Regardless if I'm setting up Berlin or Warsaw time zone.

Then you can correct it manually.

Yes, I can correct the time manually, but finally I would like to have precise automatic online time. No way to adjust an offset in automatic time?

If the automatic time server sends you the wrong time there is no way to edit that. You can only manually set the time then.
