quick share plasmoid: Where is the upload destination? - benit - 4th August 2017

I "discovered" the "quick share" plasmoid, but to my surprise I could not find any server settings to specify the upload path. It seems to have a fixed server.

To which server does it point? How "safe" is this server? How long are the links kept?

Does anybody know?

I would like to have this widget, but being able to add my own server.

It uses pastebin for text as far as I am aware.
If you click on the widget it will popup a menu which allows you to select what to do with your item/text you want to share.
Text can be shared also with Twitter or Send to a device (I think it needs some kdeconnect device for this)

Is there also something comparable for other files like images, PDFs? The idea is very good and time saving.

For images the default Screenshot application can upload to imgur I think. But nothing else I know as widget or native implemented somehow.

That's a pity... uploading is not so uncommon these days...
