how to reset Plasma search index (baloo/akonadi)? - benit - 5th August 2017

Over time I have noticed that when using Plasma (indexed) search I get results that point to files that have been moved to other places longer time ago.

Recoll (which I consider as an excellent search "engine") allows to "update" the index or completely restart the index from scratch.

How can I do this for Plasma search?

The command balooctl in the terminal might help you here.
First you can take a look at the status with
Code:
balooctl status
The check command will recheck files and update the db
Code:
balooctl check
