Icons disappear from the panel - jwegier - 14th August 2017

it seems that something strange happened after I moved some widgets on the panel from side to side and then back to their original places. I suddenly noticed that the icons of opened applications stopped to appear on the panel on the right of the "M" of Maui logo/menu launcher

That's how it looks now:

In spite of Google Chrome being opened its icon does not appear next to the Maui logo on the panel. Other applications are also opened but their icons also do not appear on the panel next to the M logo

Thanks

It looks like you removed the taskbar from the panel. Just add the taskbar widget back to the panel.

Yep, it works! We are almost there... As far as I remember, before I removed the taskbar, the icons of active apps on the panel did not have their names beside the icons as they do now:

I had a look at the Task Manager Settings and I did not find the option to remove the names of the apps. Did I miss something? Where do I change this setting? Or maybe I am mistaking and they did have their names beside the icon.

Thanks

Oh you are right. That is actually another widget called icon-only taskmanager. You should be able to right click on the current taskbar plugin and choose alternatives to switch between the taskmanager widgets pretty easily.

Thank you!

All is back to normal
