Opera is not working - jairlebentz - 6th January 2018
HI guys,
I installed Opera from the .deb found on the Opera website.
Everything worked really good for a long time and after a few updates.
But recently I can't use Opera anymore. It keeps loading without end.
When I open it from the Terminal I get this:
maui:~$ opera
(process:10682): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
Using the fallback 'C' locale.
I can not find a solution in Internet, does anyone know why this happens?

Can you try reconfiguring locales via

sudo dpkg-reconfigure localesAlso please try reinstalling the Opera browser and see if it fixes the issue.
If it might be a configuration problem creating a new temporary user might help to test if it works there with t clean opera configuration.

I tried everything youd said and get the same situation. Opera is still not working.
I get the same message from the terminal:

Try asking Opera for support then. I am out of ideas regarding this.
Opera Browser is a third party proprietary product.
