Hi,

just installed maui. Looks fine, but the Time shown in my Panel (Kontrollleiste) is totaly wrong. It's two hours in advance. In the systemsettings i choosed "Berlin" but no consequences are shown ...

What to do?

Ciao!

sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata (Konsole)

Just mark the right settings.
Use your up/down arrow keys for vertical run through
tab key for ok or cancel (left/right arrow keys)
Enter key for next step/finish.

thanks for your reply.

I have tested sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata but no improvement.
Because I'm living in Germany i choosed Berlin, saved Berlin and restarted the PC.
Still the time is two hours in advanve ... ???

In the moment I'm living with a manuel configuration of the time.

Any ideas?

Ciao!

Copy and paste in Konsole
date "+%r %Z %F"
See if matches Berlin.(Europe?Germany)
Look at - http://forums.mauilinux.org/showthread.php?tid=23902
see if that helps in anyway.
Can you scroll over the digital clock plugin to change the timezone ? Also see there seem to be two ways to change the timezone. Right clicking -> settings for digital clock widget and right click adjust time and date.
Do you have both set to Berlin timezone ?
Thank your for your response. Meanwhile the problem solved itself. Do not have an idea how this worked. But thanks anyway

If it solved itself it could be either grabbing the time from a time server or the widget itself had its state cached and needed a to refresh.
