I've been having glitchy problems with this OS and so I double
checked the MD5 with the disc and it was exact. So, then I
rebooted the pc with the disc in the drive and chose check
disc media. It said there was One File Corrupt.

How can this be if the MD5 is perfect?
I burned a new disc (Maxell RW) and reinstalled and when it
was all done ... rebooted and entered my password very carefully...
and the password greyed out like it was going to boot... and it just
sat there for a long time. So, I rebooted again and gave it another
shot and NADA... same thing!

So, I burned it once again on a different media (Verbatim -R) and it
worked so far. But now I have to go to work and will continue later.
Really odd.... what did you use for burning?

ASUS external slimline dvd recorder and the disc's are listed in my above post.
Did you burn the disc at the slowest possible speed?
