I have a folder view (symbols) and want to drag a file from this view onto a folder also in the same view. Plasma would open the folder after the drag and open another window close by so that one could drag-and-drop the file into the folder. Was this possibility cancelled? Please see attached screenshot. I hope you get the idea.

This is a current limitation in the newer folderview plugin.

I don't see it as a feature request on bugs.kde.org. Maybe it makes sense you create a ticket there.
