From Plasma 5.10 page changelog:

'Often used' docs and apps in app launchers in addition to 'Recently used'


Can somebody post a screenshot where to find it? In my launcher I have still only "last used apps" and "last used docs", but not "often used docs" or "often used apps" (which I would consider very helpful!

I think you need to activate them in the settings of a menu widget(right click the menu button). Not sure if all menu widgets support this.

Further to the advice you already received, here's a pic fyi [right click on the Applications Menu icon & select "Application Menu Settings":
