Full Version: Icons in GTK apps on buttons missing

Hi,

Since upgrade to 5.10 I've noticed that icons IV buttons from GTK apps are missing, for example in dialog windows where there are OK and cancel buttons a similar. I've checked the GTK settings and I have the correct checkbox ticked. So there should be icons and there were on the previous version. Any ideas?
Do you have adwaita icon theme installed?
This is necessary for some gtk applications to list all icons correctly.

When I have the package adwaita-icon-theme Maui version 3.18.0+p16.04+git20161111.0748 installed, then there are problems and I cannot install the package adwaita-icon-theme-full. When I've dowgraded the package adwaita-icon-theme to Ubuntu version 3.18.0-2ubuntu3.1 and then installed the full adwaita theme, all works fine. It also works fine without the full icon package, with only adwaita-icon-theme, but from the Ubuntu repository, version 3.18.0-2ubuntu3.1. The Maui/Neon version doesn't work correctly.

Cheers.
Thanks for notifying. We'll take a look into it.
Hi leszek,

When upgrading to Plasma 5.11.3 I can see a new version of the adwaita-icon-theme package: 3.18.0+p16.04+git20170914.0754

But it doesn't solve the issue with missing icons in Synaptic and other GTK3 applications. Downgrade to Xenial version is required. Just thought I would let you know.
Yeah not sure why. Seems like Neon still does not package up the whole thing.

I have problems with icons not displaying in the taskbar. Mostly from the Python Anaconda bundle. The problem I do not have in Linux Mint with Cynammone 18.2 at my production machine at work.
