Can anybody please let me know, if there is a way to change the text color of transparent notes? On Plasma 4 there was a color picker, if I remember corretly.

I assume that this has not been re-implemented? The problem is that with dark backgrounds the text on transparent notes cannot be seen.

I am sure that "deeper down" in the KDE config files it should be possible to change the color. Any ideas?

There is no configuration for this yet. It uses whatever is set as default text color in the plasma theme.
For the time being I would suggest setting a non translucent background if you use black wallpapers.

Sure, but very unsatisfying design-wise. Hope to see it in Plasma 5.11.x

Report it as bug or vote for an existing bug otherwise this might not happen for 5.11
