Full Version: Slow to load desktop from login screen

After the update to Plasmashell 5.11.3, the problem returned. Maui loads slow when logging in. The solution is to edit the file /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.kde.plasma.Notifications.service and comment out the Exec line. It seems, the side effect is that then in the Dropbox menu (right click on the icon in system tray) option "Recently Changed Files" does not work.
I wonder if you still have the virtualbox-guest-X11 package installed? There must be maybe another application try to notify-send when the desktop isn't loaded yet.

Yes, I do have virtualbox-guest-X11 package installed... should I remove it? 
yeah removing it should fix the issue.

OK! It did fix it! :-) Now the login process is lightning fast.
