Did you install nvidia-340 or nvidia-340-uvm?
I'd recommend using the uvm driver packages if installing Nvidia.
Also why didn't try the 361 driver first, these are the latest released?

Could you please list the exact model numbers (example: HP ENVY Desktop - 750-000nd)?

Note: Nvidia-370 is a beta driver and as such not recommended.

Working absolutely beautifully with Geforce GTX 760
But if your not comfortable with that you can download nvidia-367
after adding the ppa.
That is also the recommended driver for your model on Nvidia site.

Ideally there should be no need for adding a PPA for something that should work with the available drivers.
Therefore the hardware assistant will likely come back and work with upcoming Maui 2.

I installed NVIDA 340-uvm via Synaptic, and that didn’t work. Then reformatted and installed NVIDIA 370 as Pliny.D.Elder suggested via terminal and that didn’t work either. I have a two hard drives and currently running Manjaro on my main hard drive, which is working fine so far. I also have two new desktop I built and have Maia running on both without any problems. One desktop with Intel GPU, and the other with NVIDA GTX 960, and that one is even running fine. So it’s just this particular hardware that I have on this HP 750 with dual screen. In any case I have plenty of backup computers that I can use if I need to. So I’ll just wait for the Maui 2, and give it another try. Thanks for all your help and input.

Well, if Manjaro is running nvidia without issues then it should be possible to get nvidia running on Maui.
The default nvidia driver on the stable branch of Manjaro is currently 367.36.02-1.
I would take a look at your /etc/X11/mhwd.d/nvidia.conf file and compare it to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file installed in Maui.
You might also need to take a look in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/
