Why did you choose Manjaro and not Netrunner rolling ?
I intend to give a chance to it.
Thanking you

I broke my Netrunner Rolling soo fast!! LOL

I don't think I want to go through that pain again...  I hope the Neon Team decide to keep releasing Plasma under the 16.04 base and then Maui keeps updating plasma from the Neon Repos....

Hello there

I had a few reasons, including:
  1. I researched Netrunner & decided it seemed very unappealing to me. Netrunner Desktop is Debian-based & i did not want that. Netrunner Rolling is based on Arch/Manjaro, & so i decided to swim further upstream closer to source, ie, why use NR if i could use Manjaro [i'm still not ready to go full hardcore pure Arch]?
  2. At the risk of me sounding possibly nasty, i lost all faith in the Devs. Dumping a favoured distro [Maui] with close to bugger-all explanation & follow-up left a really bad taste in my mouth. I chose to protect myself against that kind of user-disrespect by seeking an alternative distro with different Devs.
  3. My tests of Manjaro KDE in LiveUSB & in VM, prior to changing over to it, really really really impressed me. Also its forum is really active & supportive.
So that was last year -- what do i think now? Manjaro KDE is... simply fantastic!! Am loving it.

Many thanks kdemeoz, I will give a try to Manjaro.

Just one thing to bear in mind. Manjaro is based on Arch not Debian/Ubuntu, so if your prior Linux experience is with Debian/Ubuntu-based distros [as my prior experience was] then there is unavoidably a bit of a new-learning curve ahead for you [as was true for me]. You will need to learn some new command tricks for example. IMO this minor hurdle is well worth the effort, considering how good the eventual result is. Of course, everything you already know about KDE itself remains valid.
