wifi RTL8188CE-adapter unstable - Pfiff - 16th January 2017 Hello, since a couple of days I can't use my wifi. Before it has been working perfect. I believe it's a problem since the last upgrades ... My system: lenovo t520 RTL8188CE wifi-adapter Maui 2.1 Blue Tang @@Build_version@@ To demonstrate the problem: Code: ping 192.168.178.1 !!!! and Code: lspci -nnk | grep -i net -A2 Without wifi my notebook is so useless!!! Thanks in advance! Dieter RE: wifi RTL8188CE-adapter unstable - leszek - 16th January 2017 This chip seems to be problematic. See this maybe it helps: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2311974 Otherwise long term solution get a proper wifi chip that is well supported like ath5k or ath9k supported chips. RE: wifi RTL8188CE-adapter unstable - Pfiff - 17th January 2017 Thanks Leszek, again, it seems you found the solution! Am I right that with every kernel-update I have to do this procedure? Ciao! Dieter RE: wifi RTL8188CE-adapter unstable - leszek - 17th January 2017 Yes a rebuild is necessary against the new kernel. |
