Clock going wrong - 3 minutes - kaktux - 1st May 2017 Hi there, i dont know why - but the clock is about 3 minutes late on my maui linux install.. I thought it somehow synchronizes to some time server - but so far i couldnt figure out how "update" that - just how to set the time zone. I could do that by hand - but as it has the option to automatically set time and date - why should i (guess nowadays its a thing almost every clock does automatically anyways). Any ideas what the problem could be?? No error message appeared whatsoever. RE: Clock going wrong - 3 minutes - leszek - 1st May 2017 If ntpdate is installed it should automatically set your time. However I also have automatic time set aswell as my timezone in the widget. From the german ubuntuusers wiki (article Systemzeit) i got that you can update with Code: sudo ntpdate -u ntp.ubuntu.com That did the trick. Also i did install the package ntp which wasnt there also. Dont know it this will check regulary automatically know - but for now the time is right. thanks again. RE: Clock going wrong - 3 minutes - leszek - 2nd May 2017 Thanks for reporting. We will take a look at our ISOs and will take extra care for the next releases (not for upgrade but for new users very useful) regarding ntp.
