Connection sound card - sound bar - Sigurd - 11th June 2017 Hi, I use a the sound card ASUS XONAR DGX. Until today I only used analog audio via the front connection of my computer. Now I bought the sound bar SAMSUNG HW-J355. I connected both with an optical cable TOSLINK. But there was no sound to hear. I used D-IN at the sound bar for an external device with optical connection. How do I have to change the settings for using the TOSLINK optical connection to the sound bar so that it will work? Kind regards, Sigurd Okay I found the right settings by try and error. If I want to use the sound bar I have to change in Phono Audio / Audio Hardware Setup / Soundcard "CMI8788 [Oxygen HD Audio] the profile from "Analog Stereo Duplex" into "Digital Stereo [ICE958] Output. If I want to listen by my headphone I have to change it back to "Analog Stereo Duplex". To make these changes I always have to go into the system settings. Is there an easier way for such a change? Perhaps by a widget? Kind regards, Sigurd RE: Connection sound card - sound bar - leszek - 11th June 2017 Quote:Is there an easier way for such a change? Can't you just left click on the mixer (win7 volume mixer by default) and then right click on your soundcard and change the output there ? Okay, that's a little bit easier. Thank you very much, Sigurd |
