quick share plasmoid: Where is the upload destination? - benit - 4th August 2017 I "discovered" the "quick share" plasmoid, but to my surprise I could not find any server settings to specify the upload path. It seems to have a fixed server. To which server does it point? How "safe" is this server? How long are the links kept? Does anybody know? I would like to have this widget, but being able to add my own server. RE: quick share plasmoid: Where is the upload destination? - leszek - 4th August 2017 It uses pastebin for text as far as I am aware. If you click on the widget it will popup a menu which allows you to select what to do with your item/text you want to share. Text can be shared also with Twitter or Send to a device (I think it needs some kdeconnect device for this) RE: quick share plasmoid: Where is the upload destination? - benit - 4th August 2017 Is there also something comparable for other files like images, PDFs? The idea is very good and time saving. RE: quick share plasmoid: Where is the upload destination? - leszek - 4th August 2017 For images the default Screenshot application can upload to imgur I think. But nothing else I know as widget or native implemented somehow. RE: quick share plasmoid: Where is the upload destination? - benit - 4th August 2017 That's a pity... uploading is not so uncommon these days... |
