Bad letter rendering in LibreOffice - benit - 21st October 2017

Dear all! I both use Maui with LibreOffice and unfortunately sometimes I have to use MS Word in Win10. I have to state that the rendering of the individual letters depending on the zoom level in LibreOffice is so bad (antialias-wise) that I simply do not want to use it, if I compare it with the smoothness of the letters in MS Word (and ClearType technology).

Is there anything I can do about it? Will Wayland help in this case?

Thank you very much for helping!

Just curious -- one font in particular, or all of them?

I ask because I haven't seen this issue in Maui, or in the Win 7 machine I'm obliged to use at work.

Do you have general font smoothness activated in the font settings of systemsettings? If not it might explain the issue.

Also please check the settings in the attachment, if you have the anti-aliasing properly set.
