Should I now consider that the plasmazilla respository is dead and move toward firefox instead ?
Same thing for thunderbird-plasma, is it more convenient now to move to thunderbird  ?

I started with a Debian based distro, but through Maui I found that I like ubuntu based distros better. I also appreciate the LTS base of Ubuntu. Otherwise, I would just consider Netrunner. Is there any chance that Maui will be revived?]]>

I'm used to see the list of the last and frequently used apps there. The list of the last used documents is also empty. Is this a feature or a bug. If it's bug how can I fix this behaviour?

Before I write the steps I want to give leszek a big shoutout and thanks for all that you've done for the Maui community. leszek doesn't know who I am but I know who he is due to seeing him all over the place in the linux community. I was a longtime user of his ZevenOS BEos lookalike (MAGI2, Encode, Deskbar, etc...brings back good memories) and every project that I took an interest in as a user if I saw him there I knew that the project was good to go.
As with all of us, things change...what we want to do, what our interests are, they evolve. It could very well be that his boss simply stated, "no more Maui". As it stands, Maui is what it is and won't be developed further. While it bums me out, it is what it is and there's no use getting worked up over it.
Earlier today I did a few steps to change to Neon and after upgrading I'm now running Plasma 5.13.2 along with other numerous upgrades. It's actually quite simple and didn't bork my system. Everything still looks like Maui.

In a terminal:

$ wget -qO - 'http://archive.neon.kde.org/public.key' | sudo apt-key add -
$ sudo apt-add-repository http://archive.neon.kde.org/user
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

That's it...I also did apt -f install just to make sure. Once I rebooted I was back to my beloved Maui desktop.

The strange thing is that the keyboard shortcuts created for them work good and, also, if I create a shortcut in Quick Launch widget or on the panel starting from entries in the K menu, they work good.

Maui recovers gracefully when I hit the button for the real keyboard.  It's a minor annoyance.

im looking for a linux that is used via a 'launcher'

* like you type the main software you use, and it opens

* or the software could auto-open on start

im looking for a linux that has nothing on the desktop (for example, no 'bar at the bottom' like in win10)
