Hi, I am using Xubuntu 16.04 (I am not using maui), but I add
http://ds9-maui.s3-website.eu-central-1....com/maui-2

to software source to install mintupdate because I cannot find newer mintupdate manager anywhere else.
But recently the apt update give me this:    I believe the error occur because maui 2 change to 17.03.
Please tell me what your new repo is.Thanks
Note: This use to work before, and sometime this week or longer I just notice it.

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
E: The package cache file is corrupted
I tried running apt-get instead of apt, and problem gone, I never know it is different.
Looks like an issue with one of the s3 mirrors you tried getting the packages from.
There is no difference between apt-get and apt regarding this.
What is the cause, is it because I'm not using maui? What mirror should I switch too? Thanks
The cause is internal mirroring in S3 itself. So it by default chooses the best mirror for your location.
In this case the sync was not completed which lead to the hashsum error as this file was still mirroring to this S3
