- e.g., I am listening to music through the pc speakers, and i want to plug in and use my headphones: if I do, I need to click on the sound icon on the taskbar, click on "speaker", and then tick off "headphones" (and the other way around).

for some reason i can't install "calibre" on synaptics > "fix broken packages first".

any idea? i'd rather not use the terminal command given on the calibre website / use the latest version: it keeps on crashing, etc. The old version works just fine.

I'm sure that I'm a noob, so please don't shoot me Big Grin

There are some Qt apps like Krita and Master PDF that are based on Qt 5 but they use an icon set very similar to Breeze.
Because I prefer Oxygen and even if I set Oxygen in system settings, they still work with their theme.
How can I change this setting (if it is possible) ?

today I discovered that now, when I open Gwenview > Extensions > Images, I have the two commands "Print assistant" and "Print images" in light grey and without possibilities to activate anyone of them.

fastmail.com offers some basic file storage - plz see https://www.fastmail.com/help/files/davnftp.html - this page makes reference to "DAV Clients" (like Dolphin). Does that mean I could upload files to fastmail by using Dolphin on Maui 17.06? I don't quite get the http://www.webdav.org part, though (website doesn't seem to exist and I'm wondering if I should ask fastmail what it is all about...).

on the same page "gftp" (sudo apt-get install gftp to install it?) is mentioned to upload files to fastmail. which one (dolphin or gftp) do you think I should stick to? any alternative?

The people, I got confused. When choosing a distribution, I noticed that in Mint KDE in fstab the discard parameter is absent, and Maui has it. And in the internet write, who is in that much. Type, it's bad or not, without him it's bad, but it's good. Not very clear - it turns out developed from Mint believe that this is bad, and Maui - that goes and discard. In general, is it worth it to drive around this, if I put on SSD?
And something needs to be changed with the staffing schedule, which runs once a week trim?]]>

When I try to open a virtual maschine I get this:

it's a fresh install - latest Maui KDE - and I haven't touched the audio settings. What happens with both the above programs is: when I hit "record" it automatically records via the PC's microphone...

how can i get (say Audiorecorder, Audacity is perhaps a bit more fussy) it record from the soundcard? Say I'd like to record the news as I listen to it in streaming, for instance.

Some weeks ago, I have read that Linux Mint was ready to stop its KDE distribution after 18.3 and I'm now looking to find another distro, or going back to Kubuntu where I begun in 2005.
I've tried KDE Neon, but with it, it's impossible to install Musescore, and I need to use this software.
Before I install Maui Linux, I'd like to know if the install of Musescore is possible on Maui.
