I am originally from the Netherlands and studied Computer engineering in the 80s
Now I am a monk teaching meditation, doing social service and keen to bring social change. Still using computers every day though mostly as an end user.
Open source fit's right into the ideas I stand for. I used Linux first in 1998 but switched back when my camera could not work with Linux. 14 year regularly trying different distros but running windows I finally switched back and now full time since 2010 and never looked back :-) I have mainly been using Open Suse but liked Netrunner and now thinking to switch to Maui.
Only I am still using Quicken on Wine till I get time to transfer my accounts to Kmymoney. I am actively promoting Linux and open source within our organization as well as with who ever is interested.
