If you choose "use desktop layout from theme" in the look and feel section before you hit apply, it should fix most, if not all, of your current issues.

So you can boot this machine via the USB live media an get a display (GUI), but not on the installed system? Then this is definitely not a UEFI issue, but a driver issue. I will look at your log file ...

For option 3, the system should default to the xorg intel driver. You shouldn't need to do anything.

None of this thread makes any sense. If the system has an onboard Intel GPU, and you add in a dedicated PCIe card (NVIDIA), then the on board Intel gpu should be automatically disabled by the system.

Log into your google account via a web browser and check the settings. By default google doesn't allow you to actually delete anything via an outside application, it will still retain the information....
