Question  15th April 2017, 11:03
I suspect i'm going to be embarrassed at the answer; i'm probably looking right past the simple obvious setting, but...

How do i make Dolphin report Absolute NOT Relative Datestamps?

For example:

1. I want it to tell me that i created or modified a file on 14/4/17 at hh:mm_ss, NOT "Yesterday" at hh:mm_ss

2. I want it to tell me that i created or modified a file on 8/4/17 at hh:mm_ss, NOT "Last Saturday" at hh:mm_ss

I've looked in Maui's Settings, & in Dolphin's "Configure Dolphin...", but so far i've managed not to see where i can do this.

Thanks.

If you need it please create a feature request on bugs.kde.org for dolphin or you stick to opening up properties for the file that should show the complete date. At least it does here.

Yes it does here too, but compared to the info that pops up just pointing to the file, that's a slower less efficient method... but disappointingly it's that popup info which uses the relative dates. Thanks anyway.
