the resume should be no problem if the UUID is in fact the UUID of your swap partition. Otherwise this makes no sense really.
What is the proper way to update system to the latest release

Yep, thats my swap partition.
So after adding splash back into grub I do have a splash screen. It flashes on and is gone in about 1 second. Then I have a dead black screen for another 20 seconds or so. So I still think I have something hanging up and waiting here. It might be Samba as you mentioned earlier. I will go back and look into that later. I'll need to take some time on that one to make sure removing it doesn't cause problems with networking my other systems or virtualbox. Thanks for the help. Your great. |
