Sorry for the late response, and thanks for the advice!
So I've tried viber wrapper indicator as it was written on the site, but it didn't install its dependencies.
Therefore I used sudo apt-get -f install, which solved its dependency problems, but the viber icon still acts the same way.
It seems I'll have to wait for Viber to solve that minor issue...
