Many thanks. I am gripped by the deep irony here. KDE's Dev's responded to my recent bug report [& maybe others too, although i couldn't see any before i created mine] that 5.8.0 damaged the Activities Manager, with a "fix" released in 5.8.1 that now entirely breaks Plasmashell itself if Users have any Activities. I suppose that's one way to not see any further A/M bugs!
This mess would appear to be our first tangible benefit to flow from Maui Dev's very recent deployment of their sandboxed repo, to safeguard we Users from incurring broken systems if any serious Plasma5 bugs escape into the wild. Thank you, Maui Devs!!!
