2. Can I install Apache, MariaDB, nginix, php and assorted helper programs?

3. I have never used ppa's, is that a problem?

No it should not be a problem.

Thank you for the prompt reply and the good info. Today, I will install Maui and wipe Manjaro.

I have never seen a Live DVD run as fast as Maui.
