well, this is happening to me since i first start using linux,i'm not talking about this distro in particular,i am a noob, but the problem i face is the way the refresh works,i have an nvidia driver installed, right now 367 version, but, the problems appear for example in firefox when readin texts and in watching movies (fast images parts),i get same thing with 361 version of nvidia and 364 version and with 370 version, the things is like this,in firefox, when i read texts on all screen and i move the page up or down,i see like a wave coming from up to down pretty fast, some times all that looks like are 2 lines about at the same half of the half of the screen,up and down, that are unsync, that is the first,in movies,no matter which player i use,i see that thing but just in the upper side of the screen, like un unsync upper with the rest of the screen,i did tryed with vsync on and off with no results,i use hardware supprot in firefox too,how can i make all run smoothly and all screen images refresh or reconstruction or whatever is the nameof it to be synced all in same time ? my monitor runs at 1920x1080 at 60 hz,i really need help on this,is not just annoying, but actually tired my eyes very much

This is a problem with vertical sync, there is a long thread about it in this forum:
http://forums.mauilinux.org/showthread.php?tid=24037 Please read through the whole thread, try the config that was proposed there, but if it doesn't work, the only thing that remains is: 1. if you have a laptop with Optimus, use intel card for desktop and bumblebee for games 2. if you have a desktop PC with just nvidia card, you have to wait until X server 1.19 is released, since there were some architectural changes done in the driver and only X server 1.19 will provide the needed functionality for v-sync. By the way, which nvidia card do you have?
