Transfer Files to Android Device

When I plug in my Samsung Tablet, the file manager "sees" the device and lists the folders and files. However, when I try to copy and paste, the "Paste File" is greyed out. Is there a way to transfer files to android?

I think it depends on the folder you want to paste in. Also you need to unlock the device. Maybe there is some other option you need to set aswell on the Android site of things.
