Can you first try, using the terminal,

dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc

sudo apt update

sudo apt full-upgrade

Is it uefi ?
Is it dual-boot?
Have you been using grub-customizer?
where is grub installed ?
Are you proficient enough with the terminal commands?
