Broad question!
1...Do you want your O/S in Greek? 2...Do you want your keyboard in Greek? 3...Or do you want both? (1)...Systemsettings>Account Details>Translations>...select...>press > button in middle of page> select the up and down button to make whatever language you want. (2)...Systemsettings>Input Devices>Keyboard>Layouts> (select) configure Layouts> (select) add> A box will open.> click on layout and select Greek. You can use CTL+ALT+K to switch between layouts. (3) Do both of the above. Δοεσ Τηισ Ηελπ?

Sorry I don't understand Greek. Can you run the update with English language.
You can do so by running the command like this Code: LC_ALL=C sudo apt-get upgrade Also do you have the system installed on hdd/ssd or do you run a live USB stick. If the latter than grub update will always fail as grub isn't installed at all on the stick.

Like I said on USB Sticks it will always fail. If possible remove the package if you don't plan to install later on and it does not remove anything other essential.

Keyboard layouts > press add
Don't go to "Limit language by selection" Go to "layout" and select Greek If not there you will have to install Greek language sudo apt-mark hold linux-image-* #Will stop you getting kernel updates sudo apt update #Do not upgrade sudo apt install ttf-ubuntu-font-family # You might lose that install on the next bootup, so if you do, you will have to install the fonts whenever you need them. |
