I'm using the standard breeze theme. And Dropbox is 8.4.21

But i would like to use the oygen icon set, because breeze is not perfect. For example the trash icon equals the folder icon ...
But this is another story

Ciao!

@leszek

You mentioned may be it's a dropbox issue. Come to think of it, Maui has replaced the icon with its own, and perphaps that has a conflict with the dropbox icon disappearance!

Plasma dev here:

There is *a* potential issue with application system tray icons that I've fixed. I can't reproduce the Dropbox issue myself, so I can't be sure it's the same thing.

I have a patch https://phabricator.kde.org/D2613 that should fix it.

I've patched and compiled plasma-workspace at for Maui Linux: http://static.davidedmundson.co.uk/maui_..._amd64.deb

Could someone install that package, and see if that resolves the issue.

Thanks!

I installed this plasma-workspace-thing. And got the result you can see in the attached screenshot. The empty space between the speaker-icon and the printer-icon is the dropbox-icon. Yes, it's actually there, but you can't see it. And there is is also a tiny liitle spot ... that's the icon to manage the radiotray-app. Unfortunally it's complete inactive ...

HTH

Dieter

Please help... I installed the fix you have above and now my screen is completely blank and I can't do anything. I REALLY do not want to reinstall everything on my computer, I have it exactly the way it needs to be, and I have some very important information on it as well. Is there anyway to uninstall you fix? Can you think of anyway that I can even access the computer. Skype autostarts and it shows up on the desktop but that is it.

The fix is old. Please try upgrading to plasma-workspace 5.8.0 from our repo again by using a terminal and entering
sudo apt-get install plasma-workspace

I hope that works for you.
