My friend, send to me a photo of the file, I view that, Neon backport are activate, Maui Specific Packages Backports are deactivated.
He, are activate the maui specific backport.
Then, sudo apt-get update, and then, sudo apt-get install -f. Any change.
My friend indicate to me that, before activate this backport, he are run sudo apt-get upgrade, is this a problem?

After the activate backport, run install -f and view any change, he run again apt-get upgrade, then, prompt for repository, if change for distribuitor or maintenance original, he select change for distribuitor.

Continue with the problem.

My friend made your steps:
sudo apt-get update
and
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

But cotninue with the problem, when restart, appears the screen for loggin and can't continue.

/var/log/sddm.log or something like that.
Is the login screen not working or is the login not working? If the latter does is show an error message like wrong password or does it log in and immediately logs out again?

Ups, its a problem for view the log....
In the login screen not working, type her username and some times, can type password (but not advanced) and other times can' type her password.
Not appears any error message.
Only, its like "blocked" in the loggin screen.

Is it maybe just a visual glitch? So is clicking on the user and entering the password blindly and hitting enter working maybe?

I think isn't a visual glitch, some times, can type password, but other times, can't type password, but when can type password, after, hit enter but not work anything, not access to desktop, appears a error message that indicate in first post.

Could it be the virtual keyboard thingy. Take a look at the posting on how to deactivate the virtual keyboard in sddm.conf
