i always tried to find all that is new in internet and i found it,i wanted to try a gnu/linux arch distro,i am not an medium nor advanced linux user to actually install arch linux, just a new comer, so i did found an arch linux based that comes with everything, and i mean relly everything that can be covered in a linux installer,it has the most amazing and beautiful installer ever made from all i could try,an installer that let u chose even the DE u want to run on ur computer, didn't saw that part in another distro and i think that is the most beautiful and useful thing to have, and that actually have something very interesting,it comes with kde 5.8.4 and kernel 4.8.10-1,so is the newest posible in all,the question is,will maui will get those updates soon ? (especially the kernel update)

We don't build our own kernels but stay up to date with the kernels provided by ubuntu lts.
There is a kernel update from 4.4 planned for Ubuntu as far as I am aware and should come with 16.04.2. This will however be an optional kernel update.

well yes,i did update the kernel from the ubuntu repo to the version 4.8.9,but not sure that is the best way to get the kernel updated that way,i think,i am a noob into this,is not like the kernel is build for maui, but for ubuntu,it could have things that they are not found in both,i guess,as i did found problems updating the kernel with 2 dkms, both of virtualbox, but i had to uninstall those kms (which btw are old,5.0.24 is old,new is 5.1.10) and i only use the new virtualbox normal without the dkms parts,it does work very well and it is the 5.1.10 version

Ubuntu officially in the xenial repo does not provide the 4.8 kernel yet. That explains the problems you experience with the virtualbox packages in the repo.
When ubuntu updates the kernel in the repo or at least provides it they will definitely also update the virtualbox dkms packages to a version compatible with that kernel (most probably in xenial-backports)
