I wanted to switch from Nouveau driver to recommended NVidia driver. I chose it and then suddenly the dialog doubled.

After clicking "apply" some NVidia driver download started, but then at 50% the driver dialog pane opened again, but Nouveau still active.

Can somebody please tell me what is going on?

Thank you very much!

Just ignore it and proceed further with the installation. It should work just fine and after a reboot you should have nvidia proprietary driver installed.

Unfortunately not... nothing is installed. After 50% I am thrown back to "collecting information about your system" (translated from German).

So how can I install NVidia drivers?
