Have you tried maybe with a new user?
My testing machine shows no significant loading time changes.

About the loading time, I use a very basic install with no applications loading and no sessions restoration. The only modification I use is to display 4 virtual destktops.
The delay occurs after the maui splash screen, a black screen appears but without displaying any significant disk activities. Then the mouse cursor appears and things seems to as usual.
Many thanks for your interest, but dont worry, that's not my daily machine. if I can help for optimization that's a good thing.
