Probably not, Netrunner 14.x was based on KDE SC 4 (Plasma 4).
Maui is based on Plasma 5. These two DE are technologically very different from one another.

Maybe it's possible to reinstall only the / directory?
And let user directory /home as before (do not format it). But not sure...

Why not backup your home directory to a USB drive and reinstall.

install Maui from scratch? Yes, this is the best way to begin with this new release...
Just to understand I have a question: I understand that Maui is based on KDE neon: I would like to know if KDE neon is just a graphic layer, or a distro, or both of them?

Any tips for upgrading from Netrunner 17? New install is no option on two of the PCs I maintain! Home is not the problem but anything else.

And by the way - home can be a problem - I just reinstalled maui to see if the system freezes, that appeared when i copied a few of my old program settings to the new home-folder - will appear if i don't do so. Be careful. |
